The seat next to the driver

Ride-alongs in a race car and corporate events on track. The cars are the ones we race, and so are the drivers. The scope is agreed case by case, which is why there is no price list here.

A race day

Five stages of one day on track, as the photographer caught them. We do not give a year or a race for these shots, because we do not know them — the archive has no captions.

A green Lotus Exige race car open in the pit box with two mechanics working on the front end.

Before the cage closes

The car sits open in the pit box while the mechanics finish the last jobs on it. This is the part of the day nobody sees from the grandstand.

A view into the cockpit of a race car, a driver in a white helmet holding the wheel, roll cage tubes around him.

The seat next to the driver

Behind the wheel, a driver in a helmet and fireproof suit, roll cage all around. Next to him is a second seat, and that seat is what this page is about.

A green Lotus Exige carrying number 89 through a right-hand corner with another car behind.

The first fast corner

The car mid-corner on a full track, the outer wheel loaded right to the limit. From here on nobody talks about power any more, it gets measured.

A green Lotus Exige number 89 alongside a blue car from another class on the approach to a corner.

Side by side into the braking zone

Two cars side by side just before the corner, each from a different class. This is the moment you get into a race car for.

Drivers on the podium with an Autodrom Most banner behind them.

Autodrom Most

The podium under the Autodrom Most banner. The only one of the five where we know the location for certain, because it is written up behind the drivers.

Three sizes

You pick a car, not a package. The difference between them is not horsepower, it is how much the car holds on to in a corner.
